Last week’s corrections
You notice that your toilet is leaking. You call your landlord and they ask where exactly the water is coming from.
Phone calls are hard.
Phone calls about problems that you need to specifically explain are harder.
That said, they are quite important to be able to make when you live here, and since I’m actively dealing with a situation like this, I figured it would make a good prompt as well.
Here’s what I said when I was asked:
なんか、便器と床の間から漏れてます。
なんか、 べんき と ゆか の あいだ から もれてます。
It's uhh, kind of leaking from between the floor and the toilet itself.
Of course, this wasn’t the first thing I said but I did manage to say it after the person on the call helped me with some vocab haha.
I didn’t know 便器(べんき)[toilet bowl] which is like the porcelain part of the toilet. Great term.
